What is that?

You may know that the utility MSCONFIG, included in most versions of Windows, allows you to decide what starts when you open Windows and what doesn't. Simply go to Start/Run and type in MSCONFIG and press the ENTER key. If MSConfig is on your system it will open a window that enables you to examine what is running and to choose Startup programs and processes (Windows XP). This website lists more than 4700 items you may encounter when cleaning up with MSConfig. Once you have identified what is running you can then decide if it is necessary. Shutting down spyware and other unnecessary applications will give you faster starting and better overall speed.
