Customise Windows

There are many settings in Windows that can be customised, though not all can be changed from within the default Windows package. To access the other settings, you need a tool such as Microsoft's Power Toys or FreshDevices FreshUI, unless you are prepared to edit Windows Registry and know what entries to change.

Microsoft's unsupported Power Toys can be downloaded from  www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp, while FreshUI can be downloaded from www.freshdevices.com. The Microsoft tool is completely free, but FreshUI is free for personal use only.
