| Internet Explorer script error messagesInternet Explorer has an inbuilt ability to look for errors in webpage scripts. This is useful to people who write pages, but can be annoying if you are just browsing your way around the web. If this debugging ability is turned on, every so often, as pages load, you will be greeted with "An error has occurred in the script on this page ... Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" You can stop the entire debugging process by going to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced. Then look for and tick "Disable Script Debugging". Before you condemn people who write pages with script errors, just remember that even pages created with FrontPage occasionally suffer from script errors! Just turn off the debugging process and enjoy the webpages without popup error messages. |
