Setup won't complete

Just occasionally, probably due to some conflict on the computer concerned, Eudora's setup fails. It just dies without attempting to install the program. Thanks to Julia Harding, I now know a simple way around the problem. Reboot Windows in Safe Mode and install from there.

Safe Mode does not load device drivers and background programs. It is this that prevents clashes. It's a tip worth trying whenever you suspect a clash.
